The background of CM/Panstoria/FOREVER software to organize your digital photos and more

Caspedia Corporation was the one who originally wrote the software called StorybookCreator Plus (SB) and Memory Manager (MM).  Creative Memories had the selling and branding rights for it and many Consultants sold the product in the mid 2000's.

MM allows you to organize digital images and video files into meaningful folders of events, people, holidays, etc.  Software also allows you to rate the photos, edit and even journal about the photo. Files are easily viewed using a timeline based on the date the photo/video was created (so camera date is very important).  You can also keep track of what has been printed, backed up and even layout an album so the 4x6 images are printed in order (at least when printing to CM photo center).

SB is a digital scrapbooking software and so much more.  Great for all types of projects - invitations, flyers, posters, announcements, place cards and so much more!  You can purchase digital content, use free content from the internet or create your own to make wonderful pages for your photos.  Projects such as StoryBooks, calendars and photo panels were created in the software, uploaded and printed at the CM photocenter for a great finished project.

Software above was released for PCs.  At some point a MAC supported digi scrapbooking software was released (SBStudio) by CM who partnered with another company - not Panstoria, but it was soon unsupported when Apple released its new OS and Creative Memories was unable to keep up with the updates/licenses (not really sure WHAT happened there).  Those who had installed the MAC compatible software could continue using without issue if they didn't keep up with OS upgrades.  MM & SB has been successfully used and activated on MACs who also run Windows.

Creative Memories closed the photo center in September 2013 and pretty much stopped supporting digital at that point since they went through a major reorg (this is when Ahni & Zoe was born). New software activations were only good through 12/31/2013.

Panstoria is the new Caspedia.  Panstoria is currently selling and supporting these great products.

CM Memory Manager is now Panstoria Historian
CM Storybook Creator is now Panstoria Artisan

If you own and use Memory Manager you can now purchase Historian using one of the links on this blog and get on a supported version again.  If you are no longer doing Windows updates on the machine MM, it's very possible that the software is still functional.  Please be sure to backup regularly and keep the backup in a safe place should you need to restore.  Once (not IF, but when) your PC with MM crashes or the software stops functioning you will NOT be able to re-install on a new PC.  Creative Memories digital support is not around for the software to be activated.  It won't happen.

Once ready to make the switch I'm here to help you get through it.  It will be as simple as purchasing Historian, downloading, activating and either pointing to the vault to open it OR doing a restore if all you have is a backup.  This is the high level plan, but yes...it really is this simple IF you have a good vault or vault backup...So yes, backups are VERY important.

If you own and use Storybook Creator you can now purchase Artisan using one of the links on this blog and get on a supported version again.  If you are no longer doing Windows updates on the machine SB, it's very possible that the software is still functional.  Please be sure to backup regularly and keep the backup in a safe place should you need to restore.  Once (not IF, but when) your PC with SB crashes or the software stops functioning you will NOT be able to re-install on a new PC. Creative Memories digital support is not around for the software to be activated.  It won't happen.

Once ready to make the switch I'm here to help you get through it.  It will be as simple as purchasing Artisan, downloading, activating and either pointing to the Projects and content on your PC or external hard drive.  This is the high level plan, but yes...it really is this simple IF you have a good backup of your Projects, content and activation codes...So yes, backups are VERY important.

If you don't have a backup of the activation codes and can't access SB to view them and get a new copy, hopefully you still have the emails sent by CM with all the activation codes.  The path (link) to download them won't work, but Panstoria has a great new tool called Art Kit finder that will help you fill the gaps...but activation codes are KEY as they are your only proof of purchase...your license to use the content.

It's a real shame what happened with Creative Memories digital...but it's also great that we have the option to continue using the great software introduced to us thanks to Panstoria.  A new CM emerged after Ahni & Zoe closed.  The New CM owns the rights to Creative Memories and Ahni & Zoe selling some of their stock and releasing new products slowly (you can see those using the CM link on this blog).  No mention of digital has been made by this new CM.

Panstoria Affiliate opportunities are available, and I'd be happy to have you on my team as I can't possibly be everywhere to help everyone who wants to learn how to do something great with all their digital files.

Panstoria was recently acquired by FOREVER.  This has NOT changed how the software is purchased or supported at this point...it can only get better!

UPDATE AS OF 10/1/2015
Panstoria Affiliates now have to decide if they want to continue receiving commission from sales of software and content.  For those who do, signing up as a FOREVER Ambassador by 10/31/2015 will be key to avoid being required to purchase the Ambassador startup kit for $149.  Eventually all future sales (most likely by Jan 2016) will be done through the www.forever.com website.

Artisan5 was released on Sep 24, 2015 during FOREVER Live!  The great software got even better!!
Historian update coming soon.
FOREVER projects is a great alternative to Artisan for Mac users or anyone not wanting to invest the time and effort into Historian and Artisan for organizing photos and creating projects.  Be sure to enter adrianamederos in the tracking code or lookup name at checkout when purchasing projects.

Panstoria Historian is now Forever Historian
Panstoria Artisan is now Forever Artisan

UPDATE AS OF 12/29/2015
Forever has made many great changes in very little time!
Forever Ambassadors receive 15% on all sales made at www.forever.com - permanent storage, software, digital kits, digitization services and photo project printing from Artisan or Forever projects online.  Signup requires the purchase of permanent storage and the Ambassador Startup Kit for $149 (on sale 20% less through 12/31)
Artisan4 is available for 32bit machines and Artisan5 for 64bit machines
Hisotrian4 will work on 32bit or 64bit machines
Panstoria Print Shop and Panstoria store will close permanently on Jan 31, 2016
ShareASale commission for Panstoria was reduced to 10% on Dec 7th
Storybook Creator and Memory Manager will no longer be supported by Forever.  Any questions sent to support will have the same answer - sorry, time to upgrade.
Storybook Creator and Artisan4 (anything LOWER than 4.0.57771.24898) will print to Panstoria Print Shop so only PPS Affiliates will receive 10% commission...and the software will no longer have anything to connect to to print effective Feb 1st, 2016

UPDATE AS OF 11/8/2017
Forever continues to provide support for our beloved software and has released their own online Forever Print that allows users to create beautiful photo books online.  These photo books can be completed quickly since there are less decisions to be made - once a theme is chosen, the designs cannot be changed in any way.  Just choose your photos for each photo box, write your title/story in the text box (or not), add to your cart and checkout.  Black Friday specials are offering a 40% savings the entire month of November...try it out www.forever.com/ambassador/adrianamederos

Power Sort boxes are coming back...

CM is bringing back a true favorite!

Practical storage boxes with lids for photos to be organized while waiting to be cropped.  CM albums are the best place for PERMANENT storage, but these are great for storing the ones waiting to be put into albums with the stories and memorabilia that go with it.

No timeline or exact specs provided yet, but these former CM power sort boxes held 1,2000 photos.

Thank you new CM for listening to us!

What is a Panstoria Affiliate and How Do I Sign Up?

I've been answering this question a lot lately - via email, Facebook and text message, so I figured I would document here for future reference...

There are two types of affiliation

1 Panstoria Shareasale affiliation. Free to join. 25% commission on software and content. It's an affiliation so it's based on clicks. You post the banners/links on your blog/website and u get credit if customers click through them to buy.  Only shareasale offers a 'downline' program where u make 10% of those who sign up under u - ONE tier, just like the new CM.  Shareasale pays via check or dd once balance hits $50.

2 Panstoria Print Shop affiliation. $49 one time fee. 10% commission on anything sold from print shop.  Print shop pays via PayPal around the $50 mark too

That's the high level summary. You can follow link on my blog to just to right and down to sign up or contact someone you know and would like to get personal support from who is an affiliate (though I'm going to guess that if you are coming HERE, you don't personally know an Affiliate to give you one on one support).

I am the admin of the Panstoria affiliates business building group. Lots of Info there and I also setup a smaller group for those who sign up under me. And I'm available via phone as well to answer questions as I want my team to be successful.

Happy New Year!

2015 is here.

I hope everyone celebrated and made it home safe.

Many will set goals for 2015 and work on them...some will go better than others, but even trying is a big step.  More organization, better health, more exercise, less spending $, more quality time with loved ones...the list is endless.

One of my personal resolutions was to review my list of offerings/to do's and make some cuts to lessen the stress in 2015...to do this, I had to go through my WHY(s)

CM - I started offering scrapbooking supplies, workshops, one on ones 14+ years ago and I LOVE helping people figure out what to do with the hundreds of photos they have taken and continue to take each month.  I've found a great place to hold my all day workshops in Delray (next one is Saturday, March 7th) and just this week found a great new venue where I will hold monthly photo solutions workshops.  The first one is Friday, January 30th!  www.creativememories.com/user/cmc4life

Panstoria - While with the former Creative Memories (new company is called CM) we offered 2 great software packages.  1 - to organize photos and videos.  2 - to digitally scrapbook and print pages/albums.  The software is now sold through Panstoria and I've affiliated with them to continue showing support for the company who wrote the software I love and to help others learn about this great find!  Links on this blog should be used when purchasing so I receive credit for the sale.

Legacy Republic - This is my newest offering.  I've always wanted to get in on a 'ground floor' opportunity and the opportunity presented itself at just the right time.  My 12th wedding anniversary came and went and I was unable to show my girls our wedding video b/c it was on one of those little 8mm tapes for the video camera and I could not find the cables for the camera.  LR transfers older media to digital.  They burn a DVD and store online.  They also offer online viewing and sharing as well as the ability to create custom DVDs from various chapters from different movies.  I had the opportunity to visit the facilities where the transfers take place and meet the staff and LOVED it all and trusted them with over a dozen of my personal movies.  It's been great seeing people move and talk who are no longer with us...and reliving the younger years of my oldest daughter. adriana.legacyrepublic.com

Origami Owl - I joined this company when many of my former Creative Memories sisters were looking for a Plan B.  I got on the wait list and signed up for the kit once a spot opened up.  I've since grown a great little team of Designers, promoted to Team Leader and met truly wonderful people.  My main focus with this gig is Fundraisers.  The personalized lockets make GREAT gifts and they sell themselves.  The story of how O2 started is very inspiring, and as the mother of two girls I want them to learn from an early age that with hard work great things do happen!  For 2015 I'm looking to host one fundraiser per month so contact me if you need some extra funds for your cause.  www.hootwme.origamiowl.com

Advocare - New Year's Resolutions usually include health or weight related goals and this company has products and coaches to help.  The before and after pictures and stories shared by customers are truly inspiring...but none of this happens overnight.  I personally love and use the Spark product as it gives me the energy to do all the crazy things I sign up to do.  The 24 day challenge is a great kick start to any health related goal...but like any other program - it needs to be followed to work.  www.advocare.com/130549167

Lovable Labels - I found this product while on maternity leave with my youngest (now 7).  I got tired of using sharpies on Sippy cups and bowls and they still got lost and never came back from daycare.  I still use these personalized labels.  Many labels outlast the items themselves.  My girls are trained to always label everything before leaving the house and teachers LOVE them.  www.adriana.lovablelabels.ca

Send Out Cards - this company sends out postcards and real greetings cards from your PC or mobile device.  I first signed up b/c sending out CM newsletters to 250 was taking way too long and I can now do with just a few clicks.  I also used it to send REAL greeting cards to friends and family throughout the year...it's always fun to know someone is thinking of you and finding more than bills in the mailbox is fun too.  I haven't used the service as much in the past two years b/c of recent changes with company and website...but by the end of this week I plan on getting caught up and making the most of my subscription.  www.sendoutcards.com/justintime

So there you have it.  The WHY(s) to all my business adventures.

PTA Treasurer, President of Women in Networking group, Frontier Girls Mom, Dance Mom, maybe Soccer Mom again this Spring, Mother, Wife, Daughter and Sister are some other titles I have....oh and of course my full time job as a Technical Project Manager....I'll be celebrating 20 years with my employer this summer...wow - where does the time go!?!?

One thing I did drop for 2015...Borgata clubhouse schedule coordinator...so you won't hear that on my voice mail greeting for much longer ;-)

So there, I'm doing ONE less thing in 2015 - RESOLUTION ACHIEVED!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
