Spent a few minutes digi scrapbooking today

I did a quick page for each daughter using the Creative Memories Wedding Fresh Spring 12x12 Predesigned Pages Kit available at the Panstoria Store (links to the right for content).

Don't let a kit name define the pictures you can put in these wonderful predesigned templates.

If  you'd like to learn to make some of these quick pages, just let me know and I'll guide you in the right direction.  PC users only though...unless you are running Windows on your MAC.

I promoted to Team Leader this weekend

Go figure.  I take a break from doing the photo biz and my little distraction takes me to Team Leader!

I'm now an Origami Owl Team Leader.  I have a team of 3 lovely ladies and one of them promoted with me to Team Leader b/c she too had 3 ladies join her team and we all met the group volume requirements.

On the CM side, the new owners are doing surveys and working on the new CM group company.  It almost looks like this next version will be the perfect mix of CM and A&Z, but still too soon to tell...

Photo Biz Break

I will never take a break from taking photos, but I'll be taking one from selling photo solution products for a while as I work my other little biz with Origami Owl.

I signed up while there was a wait list to become a designer, got in and now have a great little team of ladies and still welcoming new ones.  I'm taking it easy focusing on fundraisers for friends and small stop n shops for friends.

The new lanyards are great and a fun change for teachers/nurses/anyone who wears a badge to work.

Back to School

It's that time of year again!

School is starting and Facebook has made it easy to share all the wonderful 1st day of school photos with everyone...but I sure hope this isn't the ONLY places we can find the photos after the memory cards have been wiped clean, phones lost or permanently damaged or when the PC crashes...  We should be printing them and including them in physical albums...or creating lovely 2 page spreads with the photos and all the fun little stories from the first day/week.  Before you know, off to college they will go!

On another note, it's like deja vu all over again with the latest news from Ahni & Zoe...

A buyer has been found, assets are being sold, consultant contracts are ending Sep 3rd, the last day to purchase from Ahni & Zoe is August 21st and products are drastically marked down.  Orders will be filled, but the wait may be long...so be prepared to wait if you do need to order something.

This 'end' seems more final than the last time, but there are still some hanging onto some kind of hope that a consulting opportunity will emerge at some point with yet a new company that will be based out of MN...but we know very little if anything of what that company, party plan or even products will look like...so we sit and wait again this Fall...for something to happen with the company we once knew and loved...

I do still have some (ok a lot) of CM inventory and some Ahni & Zoe inventory if you are looking for something in particular

On the digital side, Panstoria is still going strong!  More and more Affiliates are figuring out how to work this new system, and though it's not perfect it is helping us to continue to digital scrap with GREAT software!  Links to purchase software, content and even become an affiliate are here on my blog...be sure to click through my links every time to ensure that I get credit for the sale.  Panstoria Print Shop is also busy printing all kinds of finished products...again, be sure to setup an account using the links on my blog to ensure that we are connected once you place your first order.

What to do with all that CM Content?

If you have recently found a stash of CDs for CM content for your Storybook Creator software...don't throw it away yet.  It still has value even if you are no longer using your digi software.

As long as you have the package (physical file to install) and the activation codes, just import and activate in SB as usual...and the great thing is that if you've upgraded to Panstoria's Artisan, you can still activate and use the content!

If you've lost your package files or only saved the email from CM (which of course now has a broken link) but have your activation #s, Panstoria has a wonderful tool called  Art Kit Download Finder  ...but please note that not all packages will be available due to license agreements (ie Disney content).

Panstoria software

If you are the proud owner of Creative Memories' Memory Manager and/or Storybook Creator software and are having issues with it, you can ask me questions...and depending on your situation, it may be time to bite the bullet and purchase Panstoria's Historian and/or Artisan as replacements.

It's pretty much the same software with a different logo and a few more/less features.

Your MM vault will still open with Historian.
Your shadow or full backups will recover nicely with Historian
Your projects will open fine with Artisan
Your content, the stuff you've spent hundreds of $s on, will work just fine with Artisan

But if CM software is still working for you and you have no plans to upgrade your OS or ditch your current hardware, there's still no rush to go out and buy new software.  I can still answer your basic questions but at SOME point I will probably say, you've hit a bug that is addressed in Panstoria's software...it's time to make a purchase.

THE KEY - backup your vault, content, activation codes and projects OFTEN.
